A Quiz Night

A Quiz Night was held on Saturday 18th July 09, in the Symbister Hall, Whalsay, to get things going. It wasn't the best night to hold a Quiz Night because on the same night on our small bonnie isle, there was a wedding, live band playing, and a 40th birthday party. So you can see, there was a lot to compete against, but it turned out to be a good night.

The quiz that ran for about 3 hours, home bakes, a raffle, and a bar. The atmosphere was very good, and at the end of the night everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and we took over £270.

To make sure everyone in Shetland was aware of what we were planning to do, we planned to have a write-up in the Shetland Times, and a mention on the local radio. This is the 'norm' up here for any events that are planned. to our suprise, we also got a mention on the Orkney radio.
