The Beginning

This story started a good number of years ago, when I was very much into cycling and keeping fit. I thought about doing the renowned Lejog (Land's End to John O’Groats) but it never went much further than that. About 25 years on, I’m here again. It came about after my eldest son suggested doing it, and since that moment I couldn’t get it out of my head. Perhaps it’s a longing to complete it, or just my age where I have to prove to myself I’m still young enough to do it. Whatever the reason the challenge was real and waiting to be done, by anyone with the drive, dedication, and possibly the stupidity to do it.

This website describes the preparation, planning, the route, and the outcome. It also contains daily updates of our epic journey (well it’s epic to us). I would welcome any comments or contacts from anyone who is interested in this kind of trip.
